A way to sell items from inventory to a store or mod that has that feature?

I was wondering if anybody knows if there is a way to sell items from your inventory to a shop, much like the consignment shop in Sims 3?

Right now its just drag and drop, but it feels so hollow doing that. I was wondering if I made a retail shop, could I sell items TO it if its run by another household?

I know their is the yard sale table, but beyond that is their any way to sell your vegetables and fish?

Its really too bad we couldnt set up our own vender stands to sell items we find...or can we? is there some way?

Oh dang, that's pretty cool. Thanks, guys. Now I want my kid sims to have a drink stand during the summer.

Yes, they can. My Rags to Riches kid sim earned tons of money that way. :)
