Abduction/male pregnancy

I'm not 100% sure if this is the correct spot to post this ask, so forgive me if it isn't, but I've got a problem. I have a household of 2 male sims, married, so on. One is a level 8 scientist, level 10 rocket science, and the other is level 10 rocket science, level 8 doctor. They've both been abducted MULTIPLE times, like, easily 15 times at best and never come back pregnant. Ever. I've gone to sixam with both boys a handful of times. They have crystals and alien flowers/space rocks in their inventories. I've even become so desperate to have them mess around and try alien lovers to see if that would help. Granted, as soon as they came back home they were abducted, or abducted later that night... but no pregnancies happened. Is my game glitching? I've had the focused moodlet and the dazed moodlet as well, but never the sparkly belly or mysterious stomach ache. It's pretty frustrating because while I'm new to all of this, I've read about how male pregnancies via aliens are really hard to come by anymore. And I know there are mods, but I tend to stay away from those. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm about to give up on it aha.
