"Speed up Pregnancy Cheat
You cannot directly use a cheat to get pregnant, but you can cheat to get it over with faster. This works only when a Sim is pregnant, otherwise it makes them go through the labor without producing a baby. Type testingcheats on, followed by Sims.add_buff buff_pregnancy_inlabor. This works when males are pregnant with alien babies, as well." - 12 DAYS! *stays on normal life span forever!*
It is pretty silly that on normal, a sim can be pregnant for longer than the baby is a baby. - EmmaVaneSeasoned Veteran

I actually don't mind the long baby stage. I don't usually decorate nurseries much, but it might be worth doing for 12 days. It isn't really worth it for 3 days.
Considering I rotate weekly, it actually means my sims are babies during 3 weeks playing them:- Week 1 - Get preggers in the first half of the week so the baby is born before rotating away on Sunday. Decorate the nursery etc.
- Week 2 - Full week of the baby stage.
- Week 3 - Remaining days of the baby stage. Changing the nursery or adding a bedroom for when the baby ages to a child.
It's broken up by playing other households, so it doesn't really get boring. So far my babies have been easy to care for. You can pretty much ignore them most of the time, tbh. - Week 1 - Get preggers in the first half of the week so the baby is born before rotating away on Sunday. Decorate the nursery etc.
- I can see how that's okay in rotational play, but in legacy play I think I'd grow weary of it fast.
Oh gosh. And now the masochist in me wants to try the 100 baby challenge on long life span. - HermitgirlNew SpectatorGlad you found your cheat @simgirl1010 ;). How many times have you used it since more than a year ago?

Thanks!- YW....
- U can use the advanced debyg cheat too..the new updated one is in the comments of the mod. This can make them go into labour at any moment without having to type anythin, just clicking. It also has a load of other things such as lots of options on Sims, objects and when pressing the floor.

Just what I was looking for, too, thank you!
On short lifespan three days pregnancy is really a bit too much. Or is it faster on short lifespan by default? Normally when playing on short I create children by "play with genetics", so I have no idea.- EmmaVaneSeasoned Veteran

It's 3 days on long so I would assume it's the same on short. Compare that 12-day baby stage on long :p
