Nuns are not confined to the church, they can and have gone out into public many times, for various reasons.
Also do you mean to say this in a way that woman wearing headscarves or covering her hair, for any reason, should not be allowed in public?
I've seen many a soccer mom out in public wearing a cross on her neck, which is a symbol associated with a long and painful death. Much more sinister than a head covering in my opinion. Why is this OK and not a scarf?
It's really no different than seeing a man who just got a fresh cut covering his hair with a durag. It might not be for religious reasons, but his hair is still covered for his own purposes, of his own volition.
Just the same as women wearing a hijab.
I never seen nuns anywhere outside of Catholic churches or Catholic countries/provinces. I highly doubt they wear the wimple and robes out in public.. so I wouldn't even know if they are nuns..unless they would told me. Besides they mostly only wear the wimple/habit when they're doing prayer duties or in some cases healing people. Not out in public like the grocery store. Much like Islamic culture some orders of nuns wear the habit/wimple and some don't.
The thing is though that TS4 is a game that's played in places like that. Around where I live, I see nuns on almost a daily basis, just going about their daily lives, their heads covered. Not always in the robes, no, but there are places where I've seen those too. They're also teachers in some schools so they're in public like everyone else.
And yes, some orders demand the wimple, others don't. They also come in a variety of types.
But my point is: it really depends on the place you live in what kind of clothing you see around.
I made a very similar post in another thread. This is what nuns look like in my neighborhood when they're doing their daily rounds.

Or this.

(Normally, they'd be wearing a button-up shirt but I couldn't be bothered to recolor one from the game.)
It all depends on the church or the nun.
Around here they tend to be a bit more covered up, but then also I see more older ones so that's probably a part of it. Wimple, sweater, long skirt. Occasionally the robe/habit too. Then I occasionally also see nuns from the missionary order that Mother Teresa founded.
It's honestly so interesting to see how regions differ in what kinda people and clothing you see (where I am, considering it's a tiny town in the middle of nowhere really, I think the tichel and kippah are the least likely to be seen on people, other than that it's all the things.)
I agree. I'm quite open to learning and observing how others live. I commend EA for trying. My only issue is that I wish that they emphasized gameplay as much as diversity. One is nice, however, it doesn't make up for the lack of the other.
Put some of that thoughtfulness into improving personalities and introducing an attraction system, TS4 could be golden.
