Active trait and Elders

So I'm supposed to exercise my Elder Sim or he gets upset. When he exercises he gets uncomfortable. Is there some fitness process that I'm supposed to use that doesn't end up with these results?

Also swimming - it's the best exercise for elders even in sims.
