What I think would be a good idea would be for the buildings in community/build/buy section to be shells. They could have a private room marker( like the apartments in LN) and a rabbit hole type of marker. That way you could go in and remove the marker and customize the interior if you would like an open business or leave it so that it could be a rabbit hole. I would just need a marker you could use to make sure your Sims would recognize the building for what it was supposed to be.
I know I'd love to be able to use some of those buildings as shells I could customize. Other things I would think would be incredibly boring to have open.
Right now I do things like build my own bookstores but I think having an open school would be pretty boring.
