Additional naming dilemmas. Middle names...

Can we effectively give Sims a middle name?

@Simmerville , I was playing some royals last year and I used the custom job title option to give them titles. This worked for me because none of them had real jobs. Then you can see their title in the relationship panel (on mouseover, I believe) and/or in the sim info pop-up.

Use the phone to Register with the Ministry of Labor and you can put the job title e.g. Her Majesty The Queen and a description where I put the realm and any other family names.

That's a great idea! Most of my sims have jobs though, but the Monarch doesn't and it will be neat seeing the title around :)

Does anyone know how to use the resetsim cheat if you have a sim with a space in their firstname, like Erik James above? I had a sim named Silver Moon Thompson and he had a permanently stuck soccer ball action because resetsim wouldn’t work on him. Hyphenated names seem to be ok.

Can you not just Shift-click the sim and choose "reset object"? Hm... I started using that cheat but perhaps it only helps on certain situations like when commando queue gets stuck or a sim "five miles away" has reserved a random chat which occupies my sim until that sim has walked those five miles.
  • @Simmerville True. I usually forget about that one, maybe because I don't normally play with testingcheats on. Good to remember.
