I'm putting together 8 sims with the worst traits for their aspirations!

I like to give them a little extra adversity, they are not allowed to switch aspiration until their first one is complete and I want them all to have at least one trait that will be a hindrance, some can be for flavour to truly add to the unfitting personality. Like no one would expect them to succeed in this.

I'm still working on finalising it, but here is what I have so far:

Crime boss: Good, neat, generous. Sort of a Robin Hood type.

Bodybuilder:  Glutton, lazy, non-commitical. Starts overweight too.

Fabulously wealthy: Clumsy, lazy, slob. Not sure yet about this one, might look to switch it for something else.

Ace Angler: Squeamish, high maintenance, neat. I envision a neurotic city girl whose father was a great fisherman and she gets mocked when she returns to the small town, but she'll prove them wrong.

Inner Peace: Hothead, erratic, grouch. I feel like those are the least peaceful traits.

Neighbourhood Confidante: Mean, hates children, snob. Someone who really thinks she know what is best for you.

Serial romantic: Unflirty, cringe, jealous. Very much someone who thinks he is cool but no one else shares that opinion.

Spellcraft and sorcery: Sceptic, active, bro. Pretty much a sceptical jock exploring what he thinks is all nonsense.

That's what I currently have, I try to avoid too much trait overlap. I might make some related but all will be adults.

Suggestions for other aspirations are welcome too, or maybe even worse traits for any of these aspirations. And hey if you like the idea feel free to use it.

Interesting idea, but I have some critiques:

Public Enemy: Neat really does  not hinder this one. Irl, being able to clean up after yourself is very desirable trait if you're in the habit of committing crimes. In Sims 4, it doesn't make a difference. Proper, on the other hand, is a terrible trait to have if you're working on the Public Enemy aspiration. Loner is also not ideal, given that the aspiration requires a lot of social interaction.

BodyBuilder: Glutton is actually a really good trait for this aspiration, helps them stay on top of their hunger needs, given how many "calories" they burn. Lactose and Vegetarian are bad for this aspiration, because they limit the person's eating options. Non-committal doesn't really affect this aspiration that much, but adventurous does. Adventurous sims get bored from working on the same skill over and over. Adventurous is actually bad for most skill-based aspirations.

Fabulously Wealthy: Freegan is the worst trait for this aspiration. Child of the Ocean might be inconvenient because of the urge to go off on a beach trip instead of work.

    This is an interesting idea...

    Some general suggestions:

    • If you have Growing Together and Life and Death, Chased by Death trait will make mental and creative skill-based aspirations harder because they get burnt out faster.
    • Loner and Socially Awkward goes terribly with social aspirations as Loners will not enjoy company and Socially Awkward sims occasionally fail no matter what.
    • Generous and Proper traits make Deviance aspirations harder as they don't like doing mean and mischievous interactions. If you have earned the Compassionate trait from Parenthood, even better.
    • Yep, Mean and Grouch traits go terribly with Popularity aspirations, as you'll see sims sabotage their relationships on their own.
    • Hates Children is terrible combination for Family aspirations rather because most of them (only exception being Vampire Family) sees your sim having children.
    • Feel free to use likes and dislikes system too. Make your food aspiration sims' lives even more terrible by having them dislike cooking and mixology! Not only will it drain their fun, but it also will eventually give out a stronger negative moodlet. With High Maintenance trait, it's easy for sims to die by anger simply by having them complete their aspiration.

    Specific suggestions:

    • Soulmate: Unflirty, Non-Committal, Jealous: These sims want to get married and have a perfect marriage, yet Unflirty will make romantic interactions much harder, Non-Committal makes them hate being partners even, and Jealous will make sims tense every time their significant other interacts with other sims.
    • Friend of the World: Mean, Grouch, Socially Awkward: You'll have harder time making friends and if they do succeed, they tend to sabotage their own relationships. Bonus points if you make them dislike every Sim Characteristic.
    • Public Enemy: Generous, Proper, High Maintenance: Generous sims hate doing mean interactions, Proper sims hate doing and seeing mean and mischievous interactions, and High Maintenance can make this bad mood even worse. Bonus points for Compassionate reward trait and disliking Mischief interactions.

Plus, agreed with the first reply.

Yet I like your Bodybuilder and Ace Angler ideas. Lazy sabotages work-outs (bonus points if they dislike fitness) and Squeamish makes sims have bad time fishing (bonus points if they dislike fishing).

I really like this idea. Might get a bit more adventurous with the aspirations my sims have :D

I was thinking Romantically Reserved for serial romantic.

  • It will be a big challenge for the sims! 🙂 I hope that they go okay completing their aspirations despite their traits.

Family sim who hates children and is squeamish, lazy and a neat freak .

I love all your ideas, i might try some of these myself. Right now I have that family sim who gets grossed out everytime she needs to change a diaper.  It's funny because she has 6 children and hates children. They are always stinky.
