AHQ Merging With EA Forums

Hey, players!

We’re less than a week away from fully launching EA Forums, our brand-new community hub where you can connect with other players to chat about all things EA games, share tips and tricks, and get help when needed.

We’re working hard to make sure we migrate all the necessary content from Answers HQ to EA Forums.

To make this migration as smooth as possible, the sites will become temporarily unavailable as laid out below.

January 26-29: EA Forums will be unavailable.
From January 26: Answers HQ will be read-only and posting will be disabled. The site will then shut down and redirect to EA Forums.
January 29: EA Forums launches in all nine languages with support for most EA games.

    I'm glad they'll be doing some big maintenance and integrated AnswersHQ here, one site makes it easier. They haven't made many big changes since EA Forums launched last July.

    Ah... good to know. I keep tabs on both, but... I admittedly am not looking forward to dealing with the formatting of this forum. I prefer the HQ one so much more. Discussions that have been updated since I last visited are in bold. The posts are all in order without drop menus for replies to other replies so it is a lot less confusing. Sigh... hopefully I'll eventually adapt to this forum in time... 😔

    When you click on your name in the top right hand side of the screen and choose my settings. There is an option there under preferences where you can choose whether you want to display the posts as threaded or linear.

    I'm so happy with this because ea forums is so much easier to access and navigate than AHQ and it's so hard to juggle both at the same time.

    Are all posts moving here? Or just some.

    Threaded means that the replies are under each particular post that simmers reply to, whilst linear means that the replies are listed in the order that they have been last posted and not under the particular posts in the thread that they have particularly replied to.

    I'm glad that everything will be together again (and everyone!) It's been kind of quiet compared to the old forums so I'm hoping the merger makes this place more lively. 😊

    looks like downtime's going to overlap with nostalgia now (1 /27-1/31)... and the upcoming patch

    Well seems this is our cue to go and play our games :) Will be here again once the dust settles hoping that it all goes well :)

    it will be nice to have both forums in same place but I won't lie it will probably be chaotic at first compared to the old forums we are used to
