Even though butterflies are only in Gibbi Point, raising caterpillars to get each type, is a steady way to gain Entomology without leaving the house/lot. If you aren't "trying" to gain the skill, have one caterpillar incubator, and just keep raising each type, it is a slowburn household hobby. You don't have to worry about it being fed (that is optional for faster incubating)/neglected/irritated.
I still think Sims 4 should have an all world update to allow catchable insects and butterflies in all worlds, but for now I have been enjoying this as a backburner hobby.
I agree! I wish we could select spots in each world where they spawn, or possibly just make them spawn at parks and national parks.
Herbalism is a difficult skill because you have to pay to camp to catch the insects.
telemwill, herbalism is a hard skill to learn because of the insect gathering but, if you are not worried about not cheating on the collections ( I only have one collector I was trying not to cheat with ), you can download a room of insects from the gallery. And if you have get to work, you can sell them in a store. I have a hospital/mall in oasis springs that I have set up that carries a room of them. So, my herbalists can buy them.
