Advice Needed, Please Help RESOLVED, UPDATE: PICTURES

The lot trait sunny aspect now guarantees sunny weather for at least 24 hours after (re)entering a lot. Even without the lot trait, it will no longer rain during romance, humor and jinks and nerd festival.

If the park is not available in events menu, have you tried to change the lot type of the park to something else? (I haven't ever tried to hold weddings at regular park, so I have no idea should it even show up in venue list)

Actually, some parks do show up. But since Bramblewood is a National Park, this could be why it's not available. What vexes me about some of the other locations I tried, is when you go into Build/buy mode only a small portion of the area is able to be set-up or changed. Magnolia Park would have been nice, but I wanted the wedding arch down closer to the water. Nope, you can only alter the park itself, not the places where the lanes take you. I thought wouldn't it be nice for them to get married in the old mansion in Windenburg. But you can't alter the area where the wedding arch is. Face/palm. Same problem with the Ancient Ruins. The part you're allow access to isn't the best part of the Ruins. I've set up the Bluffs again, only this time I put that movie/police tape all around the 'pool' to keep guests from jumping in and making a swim party out of the wedding. But the seating is so very limited and where do they dance? (I didn't have to worry about the dancing last time, the rain started.)

Wasn't there some kind of device in this game that would change the weather? Or am I thinking of Sims3? At any rate, I am quite drawn to the HoB park. I guess I can try to have seven guests travel with Erik and have Kayleigh ask the rest to hang out?

Or, and this might not be so bad a thing, they could have a more intimate wedding with little or no fuss. Just a few Paparazzi, some Fans, and a wild fox or two, or three … :open_mouth: I am so hoping I don't have to repeat this. (Erik has been married so many times I can't even remember how many!) LOL

UPDATE: I may have figure it out. I don't always need the goals to have a good wedding, but I wanted the park. Location, location, location, you know? So, I did some exploring before I canceled the scheduled wedding. Found out that if I hold a Weenie Roast, said National Park: Isle of Volpe is available! LOL This isn't as strange as it sounds. Years ago a neighbor of mine came to me asking that I bake and decorate a wedding cake for her on the downlow. Hush, hush, as in Top Secret. Seems her nephew was planning a very un-wedding wedding. He wanted to invite family and friends to a Barbeque and surprise them with wedding nuptials, instead. I thought that was very cool and was honored to do the cake for the couple. What I wouldn't have given to have been a wedding crasher on that incident!

And, since this is my Global Superstar, what better way to throw one over on the press, right? I'm giddy just thinking about it. I took a moment to get the 'park' ready and have two Sim days left before the Event of the Year. :D Smiling so hard my cheeks hurt! I'll post pictures later on. ;)

Don't you just love it when an idea coalesces and ends up working out for a change? I do. (The secret to the use of this park came in the form of a Weenie Roast Event.)

I prefer Cappuccinos, myself. More coffee, less cream. That's the difference between the two. And Pumpkin Spice is my FAVORITE. ;)

Pumpkin Spice Latte is my favorite Autumn drink too.
