African World

A zoo would be so cool. We need more animals and pets.

I don't think we'll get a zoo because they seem to promote free living for the animals, we got no birds in cages, no outdoor doghouses, no pets sold in pets store, etc. An African world would be more like it, maybe we get safari travel.

More animals would be great, but I hope they don't do zoos. I'd rather see more creatures in the wild, especially in forests and parks (and savannas if we ever get any) as well as rural and suburban areas.

I'm torn on this. On the one hand, they didn't let us keep rabbits or birds as pets. On the other, I feel like we didn't get pet birds because of the budget/they wanted to piecemeal them like they did rodents, and pet stores were cut because it's easier to do it over the phone.

If they're gonna be wet blankets and want to make a statement about environmentalism or whatever, zoos are a necessity for many animals' wellbeing. Many zoos protect biodiversity, provide research that can help us better understand and care for animals, and keep endangered animals safe. You could run an animal sanctuary.

I'd be fine with both. Ideally we'd have the option for both, like with Sims 3. For me though, the fun of animals is being able to bond with them and make them members of the family. The farm animals worked for me, but the rabbits, foxes and birds didn't.

Tigers at all the zoos I've been to have been in the Asian loop and not the African loop. But the rest are African.

I really want a Serengeti, Savannah world. I'll settle for a prairie or steppe grassland.

I didn't buy the kit, but looking at the BB objects I thought the pack was just a kitsch style with bright colors since they're bringing brighter colours to virtually everything now. But that's just me ?‍♂️

I'd love a zoo. Remember zoos today have large spaces for animals. It's no longer cages in newer zoos. Zoos would offer our sims more family activities and this is just a game so no animals would be hurt.

They decided against dog houses because they think it is cruel? I read that in another topic too. If that's true, I think they should reconsider. It's very humane to give your dogs a little house outside, so that when they are playing in the yard, they can shelter inside from the sun in summer, if it rains, if they get stressed from neighbors in adjacent yards, or hear other dogs barking. They should have a sheltered space to retreat to, just like in nature. It is good for their physical and mental health to have a little den of their own outside as well as inside the home.

I would love an Africa inspired world, but if it's a safari, I hope we will have cars, so the Sims can ride little open safari jeeps and have lions jump in the cars and eat some of them. :wink: The death can drop a little lion paw shaped gravestone and create ghosts that haunt or scare pet cats in anger...

A properly done modern zoo would be a world in its own right, with no residences - just places for restaurants and shops, and maybe an exhibit hall/museum.

That said, I'd rather have an African inspired world with a safari aspect (pictures only, of course.)

Greetings. Interesting - Africa is waaaaaaay more than safari. Africa is the 2nd largest continent and 2nd most populated continent. Africa is Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa is Senegal, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Cameroon......... (over 50 countries). It is soooo limiting to think of Africa only in the terms of safari. We Africans deserve better than that. Please be more considerate of us and our land. Happy Simming.
