After installing EA app to run game now can't open origin at all

I know that other people had this issue and there is a couple of threads mentioning work arounds, by making a sims 4 short cut with sims 4.exe file, and I did that, but didn't work. I did post on the other threads, but got no response, so thought I would start my own. Hope it isn't breaking any rules. I did restart my computer, origin did a repair automatically, I shut down again, and did the short cut and nothing fixes it. Please if anyone has an alternative fix can you help. Maybe @crinrict you would be kind enough to help?

Thank you all. I was having so much fun, now it is back to sims 3 which I always end up with issues on that game, that is why I have been playing sims 4.

Someone suggested downloading EA app and I did and it looks like it might work, but I can't play without patching. I just tried to access origin now and a pop up came up saying can't connect to the internet. I tried redownloading origin but same thing can't connect to internet.

Any ideas anyone?
