- Sims can still get pregnant and have babies as normal with aging off.
- But once you age them up to kids they will never grow up unless you turn aging back on.

No you never need to turn aging on. You manually age up the baby by clicking on it's crib whenever you want, it wont automatically age to a child otherwise. For all other sims you get them a cake and have them age up on it when you are ready.- EDIT (as Astasia already answered, go girl!):
Make a cake, set birthday candles on it and with it you can age up any sim that isn't elder.
Any means your household sims and NPC sims. - Thank you all so much for answering. :D
So with all aging off she can still get pregnant, go through normal pregnancy (3 days? I thnk), and have the baby in the bassinet.
But the baby will stay an infant forever.
And without any cheats or "boolprop", I can buy a cake to age the baby up if I want?
Edit: To age the infant to a child I click on it's crib, but don't need to enter any cheats? - Correct. No cheats are required.
- I don't know why you would delete your comment just because it is an older thread. If you have something to add to the discussion, why not just do it? Yes, I was aware it was an older thread when I posted. It addressed something I was wondering about. Why start a whole new thread?

The thread is two days old, why is that bad?
I 100% do not understand why people freak out about 'old' threads.
No one has been able to explain it to me, either. Just an irrational hatred of any thread that isn't from today.
Its from September.
I think mostly because it *can* stir up daftness that has gone on in the past.
But this thread doesn't have that so I don't see the harm.- @Piperbird1 on this thread it wasn't really an issue. However, sometimes people will bring misleading threads from the dead. For instance, one titled "new toddler info!!" and everybody will get excited only to find out that it's ooooold and nothing new. That is what makes people mad

I don't know if this question is relevant but do pregnancies for other households progress off screen if you're playing with aging turned off?
(I mean if the sim from the other household is already expecting)
(despite this being a necropost, replying since new members can't make new threads)
Pregnancies do continue in other households even with aging off and if a baby is born while you're not playing that household, it'll be given a random game-generated name.
Aging only affects Sims and time progresses as usual.
