Aging with 7/26/2022 patch

My sim self was ready to age up to an elder today. He had about 84 days left before the patch. Long life span is still set.

Not on my watch he doesn't!

Last expansion pack I bought, Snowy Escape, had critical bug in the update as well that kept me from playing for a whole week.

I play with aging off and it happened to two of my sims, a third took a big jump and is now half way through young adulthood. I haven't finished checking all my sims.

By the way I also play rotational, in case any other rotational players are still wondering about this bug.

That's how I play, and I play every premade Sim plus some of my own! But it going to be a while before I get back in game anyway due to the mod-apocalypse that's going on right now. So hopefully there will be a hot fix before then that will prevent this. So sorry your Sims were affected!

It's a bit of a bummer, but I really feel sorry for the ones who play with aging on. They're getting it far worse than me. I was really worried at first, but I think with aging off they shouldn't age up any further than what they already have. I've seen people saying their elders dropped dead, mine didn't so I hope it was just this one age up and that it won't go any further. I'll cheat everything back the way it was if it does happen, but that's going to be a lot of work if I have to do it.

@DaniRose2143 would you mind adding a comment on answers hq that you got the bug with aging off, without long lifespan?

I'd love too, but that site is the most confusing setup I've ever seen. I scrolled to the bottom of the page and there is no box like this one to type your message. I've never posted over there so if anyone can help a dummy out it would be appreciated.

You log in with your EA ID, then you go to the main post (the first post) and select reply to reply to that post and it will be posted and shown as a recent reply.

I went ahead and posted a new topic and mentioned in the subject line that this is happening with aging off as well. Thank you for the help though. I had a brain fart, I'm so used to this layout, that one threw me off.

So is this happening to everyone? I’m so nervous to get in my game! ?

I'm having issues on normal lifespan. My sim child aged to a teen with 21 days til age up instead of 14. Also every time I load the game, all sims in household reset to the start of their current life span.

That sounds like a separate issue to me. You might want to post a new topic in the bug forums. Also make sure you have no mods in your game. Repairing could also fix it if you haven’t done that yet.
