I think alien abductions are out of control in my current game. My current household is a couple of collectors with the goal to complete all collections in the game. One sim was briefly part of the science career but left and now the couple has a rocket to explore space.I know all of this heighten abduction chances, however, this sim has but abducted more times than any other sim I've had before and resulting in 4 pregnancies. Whats worse is that he and his wife just got home from the hospital after giving birth to the 4th alien baby only to be abducted almost immediately. He had just enough time to go upstairs and send the baby back to its homeworld only to go back downstairs to be abducted again. I cheat bought a satellite after the abduction the resulted in the 4th pregnancy then used the "prevent abduction" option however that clearly doesn't last that long as I had to have my sims wife reactivate it once they go home from the hospital, unfortunately, the abduction was already in progress.Is this common? Nope.. that definitely isn't common. In 1000 hours of gameplay I've had fewer abductions total than your one sim has had alone :D

I had a game save where the aliens went really nuts in taking over (abductions, and unwanted pregnancies). I ended up saving the family to the library, and starting them in a fresh game save. In my case it was when my sim went to Alien Night at a bar, that triggered it. I avoid that one like the plague now.I have played the science career, and had sim collect rocks, and even with those saves . It wasn't like it was when my sim made the mistake of going to Alien Night at the bar.

I've probably accidentally stumbled onto the perfect recipe for alien mayhem with this current game. Participated in the science career, has a rocket and explores space, had a telescope to get all the space prints, and has most of the space rocks and the collectible aliens. About the only thing the couple hasn't done is met an alien in the world. And I'm sure it's only going to get worse once I upgrade the rocket with the wormhole so I can travel to Sizam to get the collectibles there.Thankfully my sim is now back from being abducted and he seems to have escaped this one un-pregnant.

I've yet to notice a pattern to what triggers abductions. Had sims abducted that never even saw an alien from afar and then again active science career/astronauts sims that never got abducted. One thing I noticed was that once a household got their first abduction it seemed to be marked as fair prey for all the generations to come.

I just found that the satellite only last 24 hours. That's not helpful at all really.

Nope.. that definitely isn't common. In 1000 hours of gameplay I've had fewer abductions total than your one sim has had alone :D

Hmm... Interesting. Usually, when I get a sim that is abducted It's usually that they were in the science career or were astronauts or on rarer occasions, we're using the telescope. I do agree though that once they get abducted it does seem to mark them. I've also noticed that at least in my game males seem to have a higher chance of abduction. Almost all my abductions have been on male sims and funnily enough, it's typically the exact same sim since I recycle him into different games as he's one of my favorites.

Usually one of my sims is in a science career also for it to happen. They didn't always come back preggers when abducted. I think it may have happened too when my sims just had alien friends.. but that's been awhile. I haven't played an active scientist for a few months.

It comes in waves and can target particular sims at times. If I don't want my sim abducted the minute I hear the alien spaceship sound I reset my sim before he gets on board. After a couple of tries the aliens give up.

Once I locked all the doors to keep everyone in, was how I stopped it once, but you have to do it pretty quick.

I am having an alien abduction rush as well, but my Sim isn't a collector, in the science or astronaut careers, although I do believe the trigger is his maxed Logic skills. It is the only thing I can think. He has been abducted 3 times in short secession, was impregnated the first time. I held my breath the second and third times, so far so good.
