alien adoptions

I've never seen one in the adoption lists either, or seen anyone mention it happening. I guess you'd have to use CAS instead.

Like, adopting an alien kid in disguise ? Ha ha, that would be fun ! :D
But I can easily imagine that a few people would be mad at the feature !
That said, @feetinstockings you can do something like this. You can alienize the child your sims just adopted. It's possible with MC Command Center, with cheating or with the Add traits in regular menu drop module of Add more CAS traits (I think you can download the module alone, there is no reason it shouldn't work by itself). Or you can vampirize the kid if you prefer. And back to human if you change your mind.

I wonder if the adoption system is moddable for that?

I wonder why EA didn't add them to the adoption list??? it would make sense to. maybe they forgot. But I wish it was.

When I asked for wether I not we could adopt vampires, I was told we can - they have glowing eyes to set them apart from normal Sims (I've never seen that with my own eyes though). But aliens don't seem to be adoptable.

@Pancakesandwich Right now I haven't seen anything allowing to do it easily. Adoptable children seem to be made following a specific sim template. It doesn't seem impossible to mod, but very difficult.
Until a solution exists, use the following cheats to apply a life state to an adopted toddler or older child (while the adopted child is the controlled sim) :
- alien : traits.equip_trait occultalien
- vampire : traits.equip_trait occultvampire
These life state traits can be removed the same way. The cheat syntax is the same, just replace "equip" with "remove". So you can remove the trait safely at any time as long as the concerned sim isn't currently in alien form or in dark form.

well you can always add a child in Cas, and have them be a vampire or an alien. And then play that they were adopted
