It's pointless expecting anything from that creator. He just brags about all the things he can do on twitter and publishes absolutely nothing, then when his mods get near release day he abandons them and never mentions them again and moves onto the next thing to brag about.
I followed him for a while and gave up as nothing was being released and it was just bragging, judging by what I've seen posted about him since nothing has changed. Months ago he announced he had functional cars which were ready to release and everyone was excited about it and then he just completely blanked the topic as if it never happened, never mentioned it again and never released anything.
Plus, the only things he's ever made available have been locked behind a paywall since April.
Seems like his tactic is just to brag about so many things to get subscribers to his patreon and then just drag everything out as long as humanely possible so people stick around.
I get it, but that may not necessarily be true. He's released his pro build mod on the 20th of August and is coming out with new loading screens for the public next week. He's also been working on his open world mod for months now. He shows actual proof of his progress often enough.
The cars aren't fully functional yet, by the way. He does update on that still. They can currently drive on the road of his open world but I assume they're not fully done yet. I wouldn't give up so easily on a creator because of some map project he isn't done with. And besides, the maps do actually exist. So to say you should expect 'nothing' isn't entirely the truth.
I suppose. I'm just a bit of a cynic given what I've seen from them previously. I saw they announced a loading screen mod which is going public after a week so it looks like they're hopefully getting better though

Strange that Maxis doesn't make the water swimmable. And unforgivable that even after Island Living two packs with non-swimmable water were released.
If you can swim everywhere then what’s the selling point of Island Living? I’m kidding, kind of.
I really feel this way. Not because it's a money grab but it sets Sulani apart from the other worlds. My Sims visit Sulani especially to spend a day at the beach. Hesitated to say it though and be called an apologist or defender.
You can swim in the water in discover university and it doesn't take away from Sulani though. Sulani will always be the island world with tropical beaches and turquoise water, being able to swim in other bodies of water won't change that or take away from what we have in IL.
