Alliances and Rivalries

I only had rivalry between two sims but not dynasties so far, I guess for me the storytelling aspect or lore of my game is the deciding factor.

Like GalaticGal said, Dynasties that have the same values/favor are more likely to become allies, Im not far enough in my story yet to get into rival dynasties tho.

Thanks! Interesting setup for your game. My kingsoms don't have much of a mission beyond ruling and serving the people. And you reminded me that I might use the nobility vs people feature to build both alliances and rivalries. Might do it somewhat more meaningful.

Hoping to learn  more about possible benefits of a rivalty :)

My Sim, having taken the throne earlier than he expected, followed into his father's and grandfather's footsteps.  Since my game is set in the 23rd century, the task has been to bring Ondarion into this future.  King Joseph the Second managed to secure most of the Dynasties as allies.  King Erik managed to secure the last one, House of Thebes. Together, since they all lean toward the People, are busily creating a new government.  I have no idea how a rivalry would work. I think since all the other dynasties (at least in my game) seem to favor the People, would be to make them or a couple of them anyway a rivalry. Might be fun to find out.
