always inclusive never is inclusive more like exclusive

first Romance Styles there is quality time and act of service flirt is Words of affirmation i can see you didnt take your time to research what love is it is bigger then just romance, aromantic dont show love because we are robots apparently,i am offended base calling us psychopath,we dont experience any kind of love 2nd everything in cas is gender neutral so you cant make a male that isnt a fanboy or a fundad  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0agf9uAzND4

  • I thought the issue with aromance/asexual people is that they are never turned on. The most gorgeous gardener could water your plants, and you would certainly appreciate the gesture, but you'd rather watch paint dry than sleep with them.

Turn-ons and turn-offs seem to be more related to romance.

Yet Growing Together adds Social Compatibility mechanic. You can choose which characteristics your sim likes or dislikes and sims that match their likes will have easier time befriending than sims that don't.

    I watched the video.

I mostly agree with what this Youtuber says about Male CAS. It does often seem like an afterthought and there is definitely not enough basic masculine clothing.  As for the  "long feminine hair", that's where our opinions clash.  There are plenty of men with long hair like that (I know a guy...(s)). I believe the issue here is the Sim's head shape. Long hair just looks odd on that particular sim he created. It can look quite masculine on a different head shape. I know this because I use long hair on males all the time and I'm telling ya, they're manly man masculine.

As for the femboy and fundad situation, (what on earth is a fundad?!) - he's saying that you CAN already create those in CAS since  a lot of the male clothing is either gender neutral or feminine.

I don't really understand what all the above has to do with being aromantic though. What is the issue exactly?

Could you define "turn on" within the context of an aromantic relationship?  How does an aromantic "turn-on" express itself? Is that a sexual turn on, or  "merely" a feeling of love and appreciation? I could feel the latter for anyone that I have a non-romantic/non-sexual relationship with. A good friend, basically. As Egon already mentioned, Growing Together offers a social compatibility system.

In your opinion: In what way should Sims that are aromantically "turned on" by each other, express themselves ?

Hmm... Perhaps I'll bring out the definition here. I don't like I have to use that word, but it's the necessary evil it seems.

Let's Google "turn on" and we'll get:

      turn on

      1. start the flow or operation of something by means of a tap, switch, or button.
        "she turned on the TV"
      2. [Informal] excite or stimulate the interest of someone, especially sexually.
"if that's what turns you on that's fine by me"

Let's Google "turn off" and we'll get:

      turn off

      1. stop the operation or flow of something by means of a tap, switch, or button.
"remember to turn off the gas"
      2. leave one road in order to join another.
"they turned off the main road"
      3. [Informal] cause someone to feel bored, disgusted, or sexually repelled.
"the idea just turns me off"

Notice the "especially sexually" part in turn on? Yep, the words "turn-on" and "turn-off" are mostly in the context of love and WooHoo. Not to mention The Sims 2 used the same words for traits that determine the romantic chemistry.

And as told I've mentioned and I'll mention again: Growing Together exists. They recently made it so that high Social Compatibility won't make it easier to romance the sim too.

  • It looks like they are trying to add an asexual trait at least. I am glad to see that be acknowledged, at a bare minimum, because I identify as asexual. I agree this pack was an opportunity to flesh out those of us who do not fit into the “traditional” ideas of romance.  I won’t hold my breath on EA building more on the complexities of attraction and romance, but I’m hoping if nothing else this might be a gateway to some amazing mods.

all sexual orientation have traits but then comes to turn ons and turn off game play no all sexual orientation have that

  • but then you shouldnt claim to be inclusive and then exclusive aromance people then you are definitely not inclusive

  • doing something for your partner that you know they would like, such as filling up their gas, watering their plants, or cooking them a meal that act of service and people can be turn on or  turn off by that too

  • there is only 2 out of 5 love languages add here if they add more to turn ons and turn offs then it would include everyone including  aromantic people.

Personally I'm aware of the definition of  turn ons/offs,  all I'm asking is how OP believes turn on/turn offs should be expressed within the context of aromatic relationships. I am (and I doubt others are) still none the wiser however and I agree with you that Growing Together seems to have that system in place already.

It's impossible for me to understand what exactly the issue is if it's not clearly explained to me/us by the person who has an issue with it, so I'm going leave it at that.👍🏻🚀
