Am I the only one who almost EXCLUSIVELY plays occult and fantasy?

I know the majority of simmers prefer realism in their game, some love occults others hate them. I've been playing sims 2 since I was 8 and played every game after, I didn't know occults were originally in the sims 2 at such a young age but when I found out I could play werewolves, vampires, aliens I WAS HOOKED! Then sims 3 comes along initially no occults in the base game but had the most occults in any sim game to date with all the expansions plus 4 occults in ONE expansion being supernatural. Sims 4 comes along and has some really good occults in some of their game packs but still could use more improvement. I've tried playing realsitic playstyles but I get so bored after a while using regular humans I wind up going back to my fantasy saves most of the time, anyone else the same?

  • @Mystix825Almost always playing  somekind of occult in my saves, my main sim was vampire, now spellcaster (boyfriend is werebeast, so it was hard as vampire, lol)

  • @Mystix825 You're not alone 😊For me, it's the possibilty of playing with the occult and fantasy that makes the game fun.

You're not alone, I love playing with occults. In my Sims 2 era I created a family with all the occults.
Now my main save has a family with a spellcaster and a werewolf, another one with 2 vampires, another with a spellcaster and an alien and another with a mermen and a werewolf. Can't wait for the next occult!

@Mystix825 I enjoy playing with the occults. I have to say werewolves are favorite for The Sims 4. I enjoyed the vampires the most in my Sims 3 days. Which occult do you play the most with?

@GiardiniDiMarzo Curious what new occult you'd like to see come about next. 🤔

  • You're absolutely not alone. I find human Sims to be boring anymore. Occults is where it's at.

We NEED fairies. I miss them.  Everytime a pack comes out I'm always hopeful for a fairy!

  • All of my households have at least one occult. I liked sims 1 when it came out but I became a real simmer once I discovered the making magic EP. I have been playing supernatural and fantasy sims ever since. I enjoy escaping into a world where magic exists. Sims 2 and 3 were such good times when every EP had something supernatural. I miss that aspect in sims 4. Packs like realm of magic and werewolves are great but there are too few. Having to wait literally years for a new supernatural, compared to having one in every EP like in the good old days is frustrating at times. I hope we can get fairies and genies for the sims 4. A few times I thought the sims team hinted at fairies but hasn't happened yet.

@atreya33 Fairies would definitely tie it all together for mythical and fantasy occult sims.

I'd like to see playable zombies that can be created from departed Sims. If you have a gravestone (urn would not work), there could be some type of magical potion, or some other thing created that would allow you to resurrect your Sim into a zombie. Their sustenance would be meat meals. They could have a thought bubble of brains (obviously they wouldn't need brains but seeing that as them being hungry would just make me laugh).
