I think it would be fun the way they’ve suggested it. I would never play “sit through class” in the Sims, personally. I would like to have the option to follow my sim kids to school and send them to class rabbitholes, where their mood/needs and personalities (as well as their parents influence if you have Parenthood) decide how well they do in class. Then I would be actively involved in their social dramas of high school.
I want my teens and kids to have lives - the usual fun and torture of school. Friendships falling apart, conflicts, crushes, competition between rivals, supporting friends and finding your place. It could build traits in kids and teens too, based on their experiences. I’d like a lot of autonomy to be optional too, for people who prefer to make all decisions. I want to let my Sims traits decide what actions they take.
As far as it being Americanised, I don’t mind at all. I’m sure someone will mod in uniforms. SAT = HSC where I’m from, so that’s fine too. We have prom and stuff here too.
