Angling Ace challenge: Isn't it the same to put the fish in a bowl or in the aquarium?

Question

I am doing the Angling Ace challenge (It's been a while since I haven't done this one), so one of the requests says that my Sim has to catch 5 fish and mount them in a wall or in a fish tank. Ok, great, instead of buying 5 fish tanks, I bought the aquarium (space-wise). However, it seems not to work like that. Any reason why? The concept is the same but it saves simoleons and space.

it seemed a waste to me to buy 5 tiny fish bowls, and aquariums don't count, so I just mount 5 fish and sell them. I usually keep one of each fish mounted anyway. Freaks out the Children of the Ocean who happen to visit, though......

If you mean the aspiration I just mount 5 fish right in my inventory. That fulfills the request. Then I usually sell them. I think you can buy the little bowls if you want .. that worked for me long time ago, but I haven't done it like that in awhile. I do the fishing aspiration on most of my sims at least until the mount part because it's easy rewards so I know it's working.

Possibly the aquariums were added in later?  That’s a bummer..
