Animals gone from Brindelton Bay?

Is it just my game, or have the animals disappeared? Yesterday I spent several sim hours in B Bay in several places, and the only dog seen was with its owner by the beach. The only other living beings were a few sims and the ever present seagulls. Come to think of it, sims are sparse, too.

I had an experience similar to yours, shortly after the pack 1st came out. Sent in a visitor sim to explore, and did see animals then. Even tried a couple of interactions. Once the welcomers have left will try that family to see if there is any difference. From what you have said I suspect that one of the patches EA did since the pack's release altered animal generation in BB. Only place I see one or two now is in Selvadoria, and I'm not about to try to get a Selvadorian pooch past customs.

Oh I see them in the JA world every time I visit and see them with the two households that live in BB - but the only ones I see when I just visit BB with Sims from my other towns are usually pets out with their owners and that one stray Ghost Cat either near the pet cemetery or the wharf.

Oddly when I see my sims that live in BB out jogging or walking around when either of those sims are out and I see the Ghost cat it is always playing with other stray living cats. I don't see a lot of dog strays - there's a big poodle looking one and every now and then a smaller terrier looking one. Both likes my female sim - she always gives them treats and pets them. I even had her put food in a bowl - but they just run off. I tried to leave the food bowl but everytime she gets home it is back in her inventory. Drives me nuts. It (the game) should let me feed them. I go through the same thing in the JA world.
  • Followed up on your lead and had similar results. Took one of my BB sims out to explore and there were cats seemingly everywhere, the greatest concentration being the house's yard and the immediate area. The further away I took my sim, the fewer cats were seen. Only dogs were two with owners. After 5:30 PM sim time no critters other than my sim, a couple of food hut vendors, and the ubiquitous seagulls. Still holding to theory of an alteration as previously mentioned, not only from the change in animals but a memory from around the pack's release. I remember there being complaints on the forums about strays being everywhere, including going into the various community venues. Am thinking that in fixing that, the devs went overboard and killed all stray generation except in BB when BB residents are the ones going around the village. Just a theory, but the evidence I've seen points that way.
