Embarrassing Moments as a Player of Sims

All of this time, my Sims two horses have remained outside of his property. I've tried any number of times to have him call them in. Did it work. No. My thoughts were perhaps he didn't have a good enough relationship with either horse. So, I built that up (actually I used MCCC to set it to Friends). Did it work when he asked them to come inside? No.  I even thought maybe he needs to ride them in? Oh, he could mount one of them at this point. Very tentatively. Could I find the interaction Ride Home. No. And before I could do anything further, my Sim dismounted.  AHHH. I have a perfectly, brand-new stable for two they could enjoy. It's raining heavily right now in Henford-on-Bagley. I have been having to cheat their needs, for Surak's sake!

I even made certain the front gate was totally unlocked. Could they enter. They didn't even try.  I don't know what made me think of what I did next, but for some reason I thought what if I place a second gate? PRESTO Apparently the small garden fence that lines the short walkway was something these two couldn't overcome. My goodness this is embarrassing. I've played Sims4 since release and likewise Horse Ranch since release. Something must be wrong with my brain. LOL
