Choosing a Venue . . .
Two of my Sims finally got engaged. (Sorry, if this is a spoiler for those who haven't yet had a chance to read my latest update.) I've spent some time browsing the Internet for a new venue. I did this a few days prior to my Sims committing themselves via engagement. Today, I decided to place them. Some were good, some were missing that certain something. I did find one that was pleasing, overall. I gave it a name and began to change out the decorations to match my couple's wedding colors. That's when for some reason my favorite wedding arch for them seemed to fall flat in my eyes. It wasn't at all sophisticated as I'd remembered it. (Yes, it's been quite some time since my last Sim wedding.)
I decided it best to write down the world this venue got placed, since I got out of my game to do another Internet search. Seeking the perfect, quintessential wedding arch for this pair. They've been through a lot at their young ages and I just wish to give them the wedding of the century, as they deserve. Found a few arches, installed them and went back into my game. Surprisingly, none of the new ones did the trick for me. I ended up with the one with the sheer sash wrapped about it. Simple, but elegant.
I decided I should look at the game calendar to sort out just when this moment is going to take place. Shock of the year, I still hadn't changed back to a 14-day season! š® I fixed it. Then it occurred to me I do have yet another couple, also newly engaged. Who should tie the knot, first? I have a hunch it will be this couple. He's been away with few exceptions for almost two and a half years, after all. They've lost some time. And he all but had to pay the devil, to get her father to give his permission, let alone his blessing to this match.
And, my goodness, it's fun to be in planning mode again. It's been quite some time.
