Another Patch?

This update covers a series of quick fixes for issues reported on the previous update.

Bug Fixes
Base Game / Multipack
[EA Forums] Child Sims who were experiencing body deformation have returned to normal proportions.
[EA Forums] Console players can scroll though Tattoos and open Filter Panels with controllers.
Unit Outlines no longer appear in Build Mode for players who do not own The Sims 4 Businesses and Hobbies Expansion Pack. Players who own the For Rent Expansion Pack will still be able to use its appropriate functionality on Residential Rental lots.

[EA Forums] Small Dog Breeds no longer appear distorted in Create a Sim.

Quick Fixes for Child Sims, Unit Outlines and More | EA Forums - 11948109

Like simgirl1010 had put up it's to address the obvious distortion that happened with the last patch. This isn't a major patch or anything. :)

I can only suggest to keep your auto updates off and play in offline mode if it bothers you when there is a update if you don't want to update in the event that you think it may mess with your mods or otherwise. Rather them be patching the game as needed to be addressing any bug fixes.

You definitely take the risk and responsibility of having mods when they always have to be updated due to patching the usual vanilla game.

There are Simmers stating that it's fixed a known bug with retail, vets, restaurants but it's not listed. So I don't know if that user is a bot or what. It's so disheartening. It's also terrible there's such a big bug in the game related to owned businesses. Panel not showing them as owned, not operable as the active owner household, and they do not spawn employees and or work when you visit them. The exception being the Residential Rentals which work fine as normal apartment buildings, but NOT if you own them. Then it shows as owned, but the owner has no control of them.

Just wild to me that it was dismissed and then right before this release last weeks patch amplified the problem. They changed some code somewhere for For Rent that broke retail lots and then it spreads like a "virus" to active households. I believe it's related to how the UI calls in data for each household save, hence why the Panel doesn't register them. What ever causes it, I think it's related to how the UI calls in data for each household.

So to see the patch notes don't address this but simmers are saying everything's working again is highly unusual. Unless they are a bot. I guess I will test it out? I haven't played in over a week because between the actual weather inside lots glitch and the Severe OFB 2 PEPS I can't be bothered. And I should be downloading new pack in a few minutes like everyone else! I can't stand it! LOL (OFB was one of my favorites so in 4 I spent years building shoppable retail lots that don't work now)

Meanwhile, the new pack and patch updated just fine for me except for the updated user agreement, which keeps giving me an error message. 😫

Doesn't bother me so much as it came as a surprise. I do have my settings off for auto-install, or whatever the wording it.  I have Windows 11, and I can have the app open, and still be able to quickly get to my documents window key + e. From there I can remove and/or copy what I need to. Then hit the download button on the app. My game seems to be playing just fine. Nobody owns any businesses, as of yet. I'm waiting to install the new EP.  It is  coming out today, still, isn't it?

Businesses and Hobbies pack has now been released. I hope that you will enjoy playing with the features from the pack in your game.
