I tried to build a Christmas getaway on Kiyomatsu Point where I could be sure of the snow, but it wasn't very good so I ended up quitting without saving. I've always wanted a place for my sims to stay in guaranteed snow where it could be decorated out festively and they could stay overnight and open gifts and have a turkey dinner. I might have another go when I'm not feeling so ill, my heart isn't in it today.
The main issue I see with the getaways is that they come with staff and guests and you need to know the lot in advance, to make sure it can accommodate everyone and see what activities it can offer. Also, it seems like a lot of work to set up a custom getaway that, unless you set it as recurring, will be a one time experience, and if you want to visit the same lot with another family, you need to set the getaway for them too, so you might not be as eager to setup all the options, wit uniforms and what not. Is it possible to save them like the premade ones?
