I was on the fence about updating, but I caved and did it along with getting the ep. Now my game crashes so I can't even play it.

I have not updated. As usual when there is an update as I know that it might cause a lot of problems even for vanilla players (which I am not) I wait several weeks to be sure that there is no bugs or that they are fixed and that my mods have been updated or cleared.

Afraid is not even close. I am totally traumatised. I really did not expect to encounter so many problems w this update. I had close calls, one big bug w the eyelashes screwing toddlers faces had me start a new game w no toddlers! But this one, takes the cake, it stopped me from playing for a week now. So from now on, as long as ima have mods, im not updating, if i can get my game to work, im gonna stay offline for as long as i can.

It's been a bad update week. I ran into a new bug yesterday. lot not visible from other lots. I couldn't bulldoze what was on that lot either. I noticed the wedding venue lot was changing to generic too. I just put my backup save back into my game.

My game dose not even have the latest EP. I only update to keep the 3 mods that I have current. All my mods are working perfectly right now in my game.
What bothers me is that when I login to the EA app I have to repair it to actually log in sometimes. On top of that, once I log in and go to play sims 4, the app is asking for another update?! This will be my 3 or 4th update in 2 days... I can't even count. I am denying this most recent update7/26/24 that is showing up in my app and continuing to play the game with no extreme issues. My game is running smooth, I can save, build, and go into CAS; however, I can feel the bugs still lurking deep in the base.

Back up your game before you patch, that way if things go wonky, you won't lose your progress altogether. I also use Better Exceptions mod, which can root out which mods/ cc aren't compatible. I had to remove a couple of mods and I could play my game. But the patch is essential, if you're going to have the new EP I never saw the hotfix patch Deaderpool mentioned, unless I misread his notice. Trust me, I've had more than one disaster after patching.

Iβm not updating until Sunday at the earliest. I will play-test with a throw away family though. I donβt want to mess up my legacy family and I have a lot of romance mods, so Iβm also worried if they will even be fixed. If only EA would have just left things alone and fixed the bugs we already had.
I've updated and had no issues so far other than gallery but that's not related to this update. I do play vanilla though.
As my legacy sims are about to be married soon I hope they don't turn mean. My other save is a commune so meanness could be trouble. π

Too many issues with this latest patch update. Now I'm noticing the rent on apartments is $0 and something looks off about the likes/dislikes. I can see that they rearrange the categories but it looks like some of my sims likes and dislikes were reset, randomized or removed in the process.
