Anyone else concerned by the way Sims 4 is being broken up and sold?

So... I was willing to let it go when they released vampires as a separate game pack, since I figured if they were going to split the supernatural states up and have them as thoroughly fleshed out as ...

I wouldn't be surprised if microtransactions came to the Sims eventually either. I know they had some system to make money in the Sims Online. Not sure what you could purchase with it. I wouldn't want it but I have played some games with this sort of thing... it's always too complicated for me I just want to play. I'd rather have the ability to buy what I need/want. If it went that way .. I guess it depends on how it was implemented if I would try it. I'd rather enjoy a crafting/barter system though.
