Let's see....Eco Lifestyle was released in June and it is now January; six months of waiting for the bug fixing team to fix the mess they made. Sounds about right. Some of us are waiting for a few bugs to be nuked that are still running around in Dine Out! And I have tried a couple gardening mods but none of those completely stop your plants from reverting back to the just planted stage from time to time. It just happens less often. I can handle the annoyance that causes, but I cannot shake off this feeling it's a bug that will never be fixed. Once again we have to deal with a main game feature being borked, and no one at EA seems to care. Yep. Sounds as if we're on our own again.
I was able to deal with my plant going back to the just planted faze. I used the UI Cheats Extension v1.15.1 for Legacy Edition he added a gardening thing to it. lets you set your plants what stage you want. but not having them produce drives me nuts - Sharooonia5 years agoSeasoned AceGardening has been a little crazy since Eco Lifestyle for me. Sometimes my fully grown plants will revert back to seeds and my sims can't interact with them until they start growing again. It's actually made me loose interest in having my sims garden.

I haven't had any problems with gardening since maybe November. I've recently played several saves with Sims who have big gardens (lots of different plants) and everything seems to work perfectly.
At the moment my game is most bug free that it's ever been. I only have two bugs that I know of; the one where Sims don't eat leftovers from the fridge and the staircase bug.
The leftovers bug is the most annoying because my Sims keep wanting to grill food while their fridge is full of leftovers. There has been few grill fires because of it, but luckily no casualties yet.
@Kimmer Do you have the Eco Lifestyle pack?
Yes, I have. - Dannakyri5 years agoRising Veteranmy produce but any non-tree plant always looks brown and dead no matter what the quality is.
- Everything is working perfectly fine in my end.
- This happened a while ago, but a lot of my plants suddenly reverted to freshly planted.

The mod I use now does that also. But I have a couple Sims that grow every flower plus the soy wax, that is needed to create the fancy candles from Eco Lifestyle. One Sim grows all the flowers needed for every flower arrangement that comes with the flower arranging crafting table. These Sims have large gardens to tend to, and when every plant has to be reset, it takes up a lot of my gaming time. It is sooo annoying. Having to pause the game then reset every plant breaks my immersion. This bug should have been killed months ago. I like EL a lot, but I turned off all the NAPs and eco effects because neither one seems to work in a way that makes sense, or runs over every other feature. Such as impacting gardening in a negative way. All I can say is, I am sure happy we have a great bunch of modders to help us out. - paigeisin55 years agoSeasoned Ace

I have a mod for the autonomous grilling bug, too. I thought it had been fixed a couple of patches ago, but it isn't fixed for everyone. :/ - Simburian5 years agoSeasoned AceYou get the hopeful feeling that Maxis are messing about with something that shows a sudden bug because they are working to update it. That sometimes seems to happen before an expansion or game pack.
I'm an optimist!
