To be completely honest, I ignore emotions in this game altogether. Same with emotional auras. They feel too cheaty. Never once sent a sim to work in the required mood because it makes them fly through their jobs in what feels like a few sim days. Skills build way too fast with the correct mood as well, and I like some challenge with that.
