I have a retirement community in my game. Basically it's a bunch of small studio apartments with the doors locked to specific Sims and then a communal dining area and a lot of activities in the common areas. I just moved them to San Sequoia where they live near the walking trails. I searched the gallery for apartment buildings on that lot size and then edited it to have smaller apartments and more common areas, and added a pool and garden.
