Anyone not into using mods or DLC? If you aren't into mods or packs, why?

Im very much a vanilla player. 

I use MCCC and UI Cheats aswell as some really unnoticeable ones like Luumia's Immersive CAS Lighting but I dont use cc or huge game changing mods. I would occasionally download some cc but just to look and appreciate the creators. I have most of the packs and probably abt a third of the kits. I much prefer packs to cc ( apart from the price) just because it doesn't feel like im cheating and im playing the game as intended.

I played both ways, script mods make it easier to do surtain stories. Mods use features of the game and fill them in different or better to handle.  Also some mod features makes your stuff looks more realistic. That said? You go for mods scripted, you bring a lot of junk with it. Never had a problem with cc that ask for scripted mods mandatory.  We all know which particular scripts are causing the game to break.

Dont get me wrong, lots is broke in the game already. Example, why isnt the cheats....

And some more lol, the lagging in doing simple task when the bar is half, is also annoying for me😇

I play on a gaming laptop, and have all packs and kits so far, but I use no mods or CC.

i like having all the extra stuff, but not having to worry about if a bug in my game is caused by CC or a mod.  I have so much stuff in my game ( from packs and kits) now, that I’m always finding something I hadn’t found before.  I play rotationally and like the variety.

if I used CC I would spent most of my time looking for it and removing, and updating it that it would just be a hassle for me.  When the game is finished, then I might start using it.  I am also older, and not super computer literate….. so for now I don’t need the worries.

i wish the sims would bring some things that mods do into the game.  One thing I would like to see is risky pregnancy.  It doesn’t seem like it would be that hard for them to do.

I use very little cc (hairs mostly and few facial hair.. hmm need a beard-kit, btw..) 

Build/Buy cc I use if needed on ongoing story or something, other than that NOT AT ALL. What is main reason I love these creator kits most of all.

Mods.. yes.. a lot. Mine are in perfect order by creator and extremely easy to keep updated. I also avoid any big gameplay mods.

Mccc , home regions ,nuking townie spawning  and UI Cheats are my only mods I "really need". ALL the rest is just extra, and can be thrown away without a blink of eye. 

My reason of using mods, is simply to have gameplay tuned to my liking. As said, I can play without if needed.

What is this 'original mission', as you see it?

Hi. Could you tell me where I can find the Mods that disable burnout and childhood phases? Thanks!

I'm new to The Sims 4, so I've been playing a pretty vanilla game. I added a couple simple mods (e.g., the searchable pie menu), but they broke when EA pushed an update. I didn't want to keep downloading new versions of the mods, so I just removed them.

I might get one of the EA packs at some point, but so far I've found plenty to do in the vanilla game.

Disable Burnout:

Disable Parenthood phases:
No More Parenthood Phases by MonoChaos but I am noticing that it doesn't seem available anymore, you could try No child or Teen Phases by HelenTheHunter over on Curseforge.

I don't use mods or CC in Sims 4. I dabbled in a couple (add more kids to the HS mod and the one to get the festival announcements in Sulani since that feature is missing), but no longer use them because I no longer feel I need them. But in general, I had to use SO MANY mods to get Sims 3 to just be stable on my Mac during the Sims 3 years that I think I got mod fatigue. 😄

When Sims 4 came out and it ran like butter on my computer I was ecstatic! So no mods for me. Just weren't needed, and I like to keep my system vanilla without worrying some wonky programming could screw things up. I currently own all the packs, and knock wood, my game has had very few glitches, even now. (Although I haven't played For Rent in a while so I may just be lucky. When I played that expansion right after it come out, it worked okay. Now, I hear horror stories of corrupted saves, so I haven't used any rentals since then just in case.)
