Anyone who wanted vampire spellcasters want to try something?

I would strongly advise making a special save first in case something goes haywire. But take your spellcaster, enable testing cheats, open the cheat bar, and type in this traits.equip_trait trait_Occ...

I turned a Servo into a Spellcaster (used the MCCC mod to cause it to happen). I hadn't checked to see if I can do it through the game though. He ended up being able to do everything a spellcaster could do, including the book, even changed his plumbob into a spellcaster's plumbob.
