Anyone with EL, can you explain NAPs?

There are a couple of options that allow you to completely turn it off, or to only allow you (the player) to pick which NAP you want active in the game, by only allowing your sim to vote. I have an older computer and I had to completely turn off the environment aspect of the game, it was causing an awful white screen lag.

If you play with mods there are some that actually modify the NAP, especially the Sharing is Caring one (this is the one that causes a major theft of property in the game). Personally I can not stand the NAPs because they need a serious tone down and overhaul.

Thank you, glad to hear there are options.

NAP == Hivemind system, you choose one of the template and everyone would act accordingly, kinda creating apocalyptic scenario where people have been stripped out of their freewill. sorry if it too dark.

NAPs will give all sims in the area hidden traits which causes them to perform autonomous actions. It is supposed to look like they are following a neighborhood initiate but since it is not balanced at all your sims will just spam interactions like using the clay or playing the guitar constantly.

You can disable the NAP NPC voting in the game options, you have to do it immediately though, and you will still get messages that they have voted, but that is a bug.

There is also a nasty bug where the autonomy behavior can get stuck on your sims even if the NAPs are removed. Simvasion fixed that with his mod "Eco Lifestyle Interaction fixes".

If you get the pack, I would heavily recommend that you disable the NAP NPC voting, and if you enable any NAP, with the exception of the modern and green developments in Evergreen Harbor you should make multiple saves and also use simvasion's mod.
