We played one trick on our kids today--we got those "snakes in a can" (which were really just springs wrapped in colorful plastic) and put them in the mailbox. The older one likes to put the flag up and claim there's something in it when there isn't. So today when he tried to pull the same joke, there actually was something in there. He was amused.

He also found lots of other places to hide the snakes and get us back.

That is funny pranks. When I was a kid/teen, my mom could promise me things I really wanted/wished for, just to say April's Fool and laugh. it was like she thought it was funny to see me disappointed and/or angry. And I hated it.
