I think people are getting confused on what the laundry list actually is. It doesn't mean suddenly all major bugs people want fixed are going to be fixed every month. It's just to give simmers a better insight because they always ask for more transparency. But if the laundry list makes people upset they might stop doing it altogether.
They acknowledge and are well aware of major bugs but have not found a fix yet or they would release it.
I seem to be in the minority here but I've never let bugs take away from my enjoyment of the game. Just yesterday I played for long hours and found away around any encountered bug and continued playing. I even had the stairs bug too and I did exactly as Mstybl95 stated above. Stopped the auto fencing and deleted the fence in front of the stairs. My sims used it as normal.
Anyone who feels angry or frustrated over the bugs or find them game breaking should probably take some time off to play a few other games until they are fixed whenever they figure them out. Hopefully soon ?
I am aware that they are working on the major bugs as well, but it's difficult to not feel that they are not prioritizing them when their laundry list seems completely random and have nothing to do with the bugs that most people have reported over on Answer HQ.
"Hopefully soon" is not good enough. Not for some of the bugs that we have had since last year that makes it difficult to just play the game.
I understand the frustration some may feel but literally WHAT can we do until it's fixed? Beat them over the head and say FIX IT NOW!!!?? and it becomes magically fixed?
Now i have no idea what is going on exactly on their end of things but I can only imagine they are actively working to fix it. But with such a big game like the sims and so much code, so many interactions it can't be easy either. Every fix has a chance of bugging something else. It's like an endless cycle.
All we really can do is wait... as Captain suggested maybe they can find a better way to let people know the major bugs are being looked into but other than that it's still a waiting game.
That depends how you feel, in my case I'm disappointed enough that I no longer want to give EA my money, I still think we should keep reporting and select "me too" on Answer HQ though. And provide feedback if you can, I think an active community is better for a game overall.
Do what you feel is right for you.
