Are expansions getting worse with each Sims game?

It is a mobile app, pretending to be a PC game. It all about profit, how much can they leave out of each pack... to keep the players forking out money because the game is lacking. Of course they will not admit the older games are better period, got to keep selling these tiny packs. That is why they want to try and make the Sims an online game ( or thought about it)... the money. I know companies are out to make money... but some companies are just too greedy and it isn't just gaming companies.
