Are Game Changers Still Relevant?

I think there is still relevance based on some of the partnerships between game changers and brands. Grim Cookies and Harrie worked with Gucci, Zillow sponsored build videos by Deligracy, Aveline and Lilsimsie. Adobe partnered with Lilsimsie for a live stream on Twitch. Front page was part of the deal and at one point she had more viewers than Ninja during the same timeframe (her highest number might have been 20,000).

There is a new meta on Twitch, the popularity of multiplayer games like Among Us and Rust are generating new sales for these older titles. Many of the game changers are playing Stardew Valley co-op - for example Dr.Gluon, Deligracy and James all play together. I would not be surprised if Sims 5 has a multiplayer or co-op mode, it was mentioned in the recent survey.

Yeah, I think to be a successful game changer you have to branch out, lilsimsie did not get her success on twitch by just playing the sims...

If EA wants their gamechangers to be successful, then I think they have to be better at giving them publicity on both youtube and twitch, even if they are not playing the sims. I think it's pretty exhausting to make the sims entertaining, so it's good if they have other popular games that they can play.

If the sims4 was not so limited, they probably could cash in on some of the popular trends as well, like with the popularity of Stardew Valley as you mentioned, if Maxis had made a farm expansion they could probably had gotten some people that would have tried to build farms for example. But right now gardening doesn't even work properly in the game. James Turner tried to build a farm in one of his recent videos, and he got frustrated that open stairs did not even work.
