Yep, I've narrowed the problem down after careful observation, when I put the already fully grown apple tree in the new planter it immediately went to a mound. It grows back, but that is taking forever and I was not happy to see fruiting trees regress. :s
How many patches have come out since this problem has been identified and nobody is addressing this. Literally all of my sims garden so I have a major problem on my hands, thanks so much EA. So I just bite the bullet and watch as they s.l.o.w.l.y grow back. :s
