Are vampires really as obnoxious as people say?

So I never really planned to buy Vampires, partly because my main save doesn't contain any supernatural anyway so I never really felt the need to have them and partly because I often read that vampire...

I love vampires! I've never had a vampire break in or feed on my sims. I don't understand why people have such a problem with them. You can always put out garlic to keep them away.
