- By "unplayable," I mean that I wouldn't have the desire to play. When the mod I have to stop townie generation breaks, I completely lose interest in the game until it's fixed. With the other mods I have (there aren't many,) it's really just small quality-of-life fixes that I could easily do without.
- atreya336 years agoLegendBack in the sims 2 days I had loads of mods. I planned on playing vanilla and it was nice but I prefer to use a few mods. They give a bit more options I would like to have in the game.
- SimAlexandria6 years agoSeasoned AceI usually played without mods and I have a lot of fun. But I was torn between this option in the next one because I do use a foster home and MCCC in a different save. for the storyline I enjoy having them in that particular save but I wouldn't say that I enjoy it more than my other saves where I don't use it because I don't need them for my storyline. I like them both the same. I chose this option in the end because I play without them far more often than with
- Louise_Goethals6 years agoSeasoned AceHaven't really tried mods. I often download some cc, but then end up deleting them bc somehow it makes my game feel "dirty," which is illogical but dunno. I am not enjoying the game as much as I could be and am honestly angry at EA atm bc of how watered-down and cash-grabbing they have made it. I don't think I'll ever fully enjoy the actual gameplay (opposed to the mostly building that I do now) until the sims' personalities are fixed.
- CaprianaB6 years agoSeasoned AceI haven't actually tried mods and don't have a clue how to use them, but I'm enjoying the game as it is.
- Nindigo796 years agoSeasoned AcePersonally, I don't need mods to enjoy any game. When and if I use mods, it's usually an attempt to squeeze out the last drops of entertainment I can find left, before I lose interest entirely.
- Too many things I can't stand, mostly idle chatting, idle animations and reactions that ruin the gameplay for me.
- To me its third party content and I would rather have only official items in my game.
- I've never felt the need to add mods to my game.
- I tried two mod, one was MCCC but it feels complicated to me. All it did was filling my last 2 empty houses, married Judith Ward to my homeless sim and gave all wives the last name of the husband... I did not want this and deleted it.
The other mod was to stop the game from generating a huge amount of townies and it actually worked. But after (I guess) Island Living the newest update of the mod was for patreons only.
Its okay, I enjoy playing without mods, also I am really too lazy to update all the mods constantly.
But well, I could imagine mods because of bugs but on the other hand, the devs should fix the game, its their job to make the game playable.
