As a male Sim can you get your kid to move in with you?
Can you have just a child move in with you? I had a kid with another Sim and don't want the mom to move in but I do want the kid. Also the mother has her own house she is not a townie.

I think the above is the only way to do it. You never get the option to ask to move in during gameplay.
