I am not my Sims. I am the Director to a large extent. Why do you think I had Joseph say, I wouldn't do that if it were me.
to be fair, you haven't given many details away about the wife or this friend, so that leads me to think there could be more to this story than just a mere friendship.
i've got a lot of sims, i have to know them inside and out in order to advance their storylines as a good director should, because it makes sense when you know where things are going and how each one tick and so when you get them on set reading their upcoming storyline scripts, you can guide them down the path you desire and they appear believable and accurate to who they are, more so when you become them for that moment.
I do know that for some odd reason, Joseph is bearing a grudge against his wife of many years due to her behavior. But, unless she's off with her son's girlfriend's father, who is a military officer, then I am perfectly clueless as to what Louise has done to upset her husband. I do know my Sims, but they've gotten rather secretive. LOL
