Aspiration Change on Growing to Adult from Teen?

I noticed this after the HSY patch and at first I thought it was a bug as I didn't see any discussions about it. I guess it's intended though and I'm going to enjoy it by adding a secondary bonus trait to my sims gowing up.

I think it's a bug but since it's actually a beneficial one for once, I don't mind it at all.

At first the game seemed to strip my Rock Star of the Musical aspiration. I just scrolled through them and found it again.

It's a nice way to get an additional bonus trait.

Update: It appears that you don't even need to age to YA

I have a teen mersim that started with the Beach Life aspiration (Home Turf Bonus Trait), but as I plan to make her into a yoga/meditation instructor I switch to Inner Peace (Spa Membership Bonus Trait) whenever I'm training Wellness.

She currently has both bonus traits and she's still a teen.

Update 2:

This seems to be inconsistent while still a teen.

I tried it with my Evil Spellcaster teen and it didn't work.

His initial aspiration Spellcraft & Sorcery gives the Quick Learner (Knowledge) Bonus Trait. I tried switching to Chief of Mischief (Deviance), but no Dastardly Bonus Trait was applied.

So it seems like a bug, or at least for teens. New aspiration choice on age up makes sense with teen only aspirations added though.

I think this change came about w/the HSY pack. It is one of the global changes that they make w/every ep. :( So when they grow from teen to YA, you have to select their LTW again. : /
