What if they simply add a new life stage between newborn and toddler, and reduce the object baby stage to something like 6 sim hours on Normal life span? Are you willing to accept object babies for half a day (or less) to get 2-3 sim days (normal lifespan) with free babies?
This is actually what I'm hoping for. I would like the current object baby to be a newborn stage lasting 6-24 hrs depending on the lifespan chosen and a new older baby lifestage added like they added toddlers in an update. The new baby lifestage can learn new things like sitting up, crawling, standing and use a walker, playpen, normal crib, stroller, playmat, changing table, etc. They can also have just 2-3 teeth, change clothes & hair in cas and it can be followed up with a stuff pack like the toddlers update was.
What if freeing the babies breaks saves? Are you willing to start over?
For me personally, that's fine, I'm always getting tired of my saves and starting over anyway.
What if freeing the babies just deletes all existing babies in your save?
That I wouldn't like.
It would also be great if they added sliders for each lifespan, like they did in previous games and you can choose how many hours you wanted for the object/newborn baby. I can't remember if it was in sims 2 or 3, but one of them had sliders so you could customise the lifespan for each stage.
