Autonomy: Who uses it and what are your thoughts on it?

I always have full autonomy on. Never occurs to me to change it as I don't want my sims standing around waiting for instructions from me. I like micro-managing my sims and I also like seeing what they get up to when out and about talking to other NPC sims etc. imo their personality does come out a little better (as far as possible with the games limitations) when on full autonomy.
