I've seen that happen in my game as well, and I was not happy about it, because they were one of my families that I rotated with. What happened was one of the pets also got pregnant and thus the game decided to end the human pregnancy, because of the 8 sim limit. I was so upset that I just stopped playing that game save (yes I know I could have backed up before it all happened, but I was that upset). Since then, I just make sure that I don't allow them to have more than two pets. My game is already set not to allow more than 2 children to be born to the family, not per pregnancy, but total number through a sim's lifetime.

That stinks! Sad is an understatement. A baby is a baby, even if simian pixels. With 4 cats baseline the household was already at 5. If it was because of kittens coming, the game should have cancelled those, not the baby. Seriously bad judgment on the part of the devs.

maybe the pet got pregnant first and so it was favored? sounds like a really irritating mishap for families you care about and intend to have kids. as for random townies though I don't think I'd be too bothered personally. definitely something you gotta make sure to adjust to your liking before it runs wild. Catarina is a huge cat lover so maybe it's for the best. . .

Well that sucks. Just because a pet is also having a baby, the human baby should mpt be cancelled. Devs need to work on that. Pets should not affect the sim household limit.

to be fair, it's not the game's devs, it's those who work and maintain MCCC. I'm sure it can avoided by altering some settings, just some people weren't aware it was a thing until it'd already happened to them.

Maybe you could roll back to a previous save before anyone got pregnant, then make sure all the pets are spayed/neutered? With Catarina might have to send a few of the cats to be adopted just in case. (MCCC usually marries her off to a female Sim in my games so at least she doesn't get pregnant by a spouse.)

Too Funny - I guess you reached the household limit - I have seen something similar, it tells you to move someone out or the baby can't be born, my sim was pregnant for a looooooooooooooooong time - it was hilarious, she kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger . . .

That happened to me tonight so I moved the couple it happened to out of his parents' house. Hopefully they'll be expecting tomorrow.
