I had no idea this was possible. Today I stopped by a house where they just had a baby. Baby still in the basin, in fact t was the very first time I saw it being a girl. I pointed at the basin to check the name (I always change it according to my local traditions, but still fun to see what the game came up with), then I see this baby already has 1 fame star! The newborn little girl is a Notable Newcomer! She difinitely is in this household, but in the fame term?It would have been a cool feature if at least one parent was a celebrity, but in this case only her dad has 1 star, her mom has none. I find it a tad weird that the baby is as famous as her dad...??? It makes no sense...Is this a known glitch?

Guess she will lose that star, yes. And babies/toddlers can't leave the lot so there won't be much celebrity activity taking plac anyway. Hm, imagine papparazzis flocking to that crib... :)

Bug or not it is in stride with the real world mechanics where the children of the rich and famous are concerned. Especially when the news of the newly born babes of our more known folks gets chucked into the limelight of the press.

I found it amusing when my Global Superstar's niece was showing to be a Global Superstar — she's not even his kid! LOL

I got Patchy and he was a global superstar on the post... it was funny when it faded.

Sad to hear this is a bug I thought it made sense when my superstar sim had a baby and she was a notable newcomer. Totally like reality paparazzi try to get photos of celeb's kids all the time! lol

I would think it would be a thing. If two superstars have a child, wouldn't the child already be famous?

I think it might be a bug that we can see the celebrity level when the sim is still a baby, but I don't think it's a bug that they are a celebrity. It was confirmed that child sims can gain fame from their parents, but it's not supposed to actually show up or play a part in their life until they become children. That's when they should show a fame rank and have access to the fame/reputation panel in the UI. I don't think babies and toddlers are supposed to have fame ranks.

I suppose it's just another glitch, tbh its not a bad glitch, it doesn't interfere with my game or anything. by the time they age up, it disappears anyways.

I've noticed that more babies have a "notable newcomer" status, in all these cases at least one of the parents had minimum 1 fame star.

I agree this is not at all game breaking. Might even be intended, but if so, there should be some consequencies. As far as I know the baby status makes absolutely no difference. Hm, unless you invite papparazzi into your home? Will they then take pictures of the baby/toddler? I expect the star to fade rather quickly, or is there any way a toddler can build fame?

You Think That’s crazy my baby was born as a global superstar however when i aged her up into a toddler she no longer had any fame

I think it's a glitch -- my Sims' baby daughter, Graciela Montez, shows Proper Celebrity when her dad Eduardo takes care of her (which is his fame level) while when her mom Fiona is taking care of her she only shows as Notable Newcomer (her mom's rank).
